UB40 IS BACK WITH A NEW ALBUM, “UB45” AND A 21-CITY US TOUR CELEBRATING THEIR 45-YEAR LEGACY…

The last few years have been marked “the age of the comeback “, and 2024 appears to be no different. Pop band UB40 is making their welcomed comeback to the music scene with the upcoming release of UB45!

“UB45” is a 14-song celebration of the past, present, and future of the band. The collection includes new recordings alongside several classic UB40 songs reimagined to celebrate the anniversary of the formation of the group way back in 1978.

The first single from the new album, “Gimme Some Kinda Sign” breathes new life into the 60’s classic originally recorded by Brenton Woods. Combining the band’s insouciant grooves, a breezy melody and trademark effervescence, “Gimme Some Kind a Sign” is a bona fide triumph. Lead vocalist Matt Doylesuggested it to Robin Campbell, unaware that it had been sitting on his wish list since the Labour of Love (1983) album days four decades ago.

As the EP continues to unfold, Jalisa takes listeners on a thrilling ride with "How I Like It”. In this song, featuring YSL member T-Shyne, she admits to deliberately fueling arguments for the thrill of the passionate makeup sex that follows. She then leads us to "Rounds", a dose of sultry sensuality, offering listeners a temporary escape from the emotional rollercoaster. Right on track however, the EP inevitably swings back to "No Feelings," a heartrending ballad about partying without remorse, which clearly reveals that Jalisa is still entangled in her emotions.

She continues to pour her heart out in the next song entitled "Bad Thing," where she expresses feelings of vulnerability, but her partner devalues her worth, the love has turned sour, and she’s chosen to finally leave. New York, NY - October 25, 2023 - Renowned multi-award singer-songwriter-producer and author, Jonathan McReynolds closes out 2023 on a high note. This year has been nothing but a non-stop rollercoaster-ride filled with amazing highs for the Chicago native.

Last week, the GMA DOVE Awards were handed out to the best of the best in Gospel music and Jonathan McReynolds was front and center not only as presenter, but also as a winner as he walked away with the "Contemporary Gospel/Urban Recorded Song of the Year" for his smash single, "Your World."

This past summer, Jonathan McReynolds co-hosted the 38th Annual Stellar Gospel Awards alongside Tasha Cobbs Leonard. The evening was filled with lots of joy and excitement as his protege' and artist signed to his own record label, Life Room Label, multi-award winning artist, DOE, walked away with three Stellar Awards.

Earlier this year, Jonathan release his much anticipated fifth studio album, "My Truth" to rave reviews. The 12-track album still remains on top of the Billboard Magazine Gospel Charts and holding strong at #20 this week. "My Truth" delivered the powerful and former #1 Gospel song in the country, "Your World". The song went on to hold the #1 spot for 7 consecutive weeks. “Your World” reminds the listener of God’s sovereignty – a bop, intentionally upbeat, and happy. Jonathan McReynolds shares, “This song reflects my evolution and growth. I am not the same person I was when I wrote my first album. Now, I am secure enough to take more risks and remove any limits to my creativity. It’s God’s World, and we are just living in it!”

With the success of the "My Truth" album, Jonathan embarked on his national headlining "My Truth Tour." The tour became one of the most talked about tours of the spring. Jonathan would leave it all on the stage, night after night and city after city. In making sure to always give back, Jonathan partnered with Compassion International, a child sponsorship and Christian humanitarian aid organization that aims to positively influence the long-term development of children globally who live in poverty. "I am truly thankful for the year that I have just had. I always love and appreciate "album years", as it allows for me to go into the world with a specific theme and new message to touch the fans." "I am already looking forward to 2024 and start the creative process for another album," shares Jonathan.

As an author, McReynolds’ first book, “Make Room: Finding Where Faith Fits,” draws on testimonies in scripture and from personal experiences to invite readers to make room for God in every area of life. Jonathan is in the process of adding finishing touches to his sophomore book, to be released in 2024, under his new publishing deal with W. Publishing. Earlier this year, we were first introduced to the to the newly updated sound from Ruben Studdard, with the album title-track, "The Way I Remember It." The Way I Remember it is a classic storytelling song. It describes the moment a man meets the woman that he plans to spend the rest of his life with. I think this song is beautifully written and produced and Mr. Belewa Muhammad did such an amazing job on it. I literally heard the song at 1:00pm and by 1:30pm, I was already recording it," mentions Ruben. "I knew from the first listen that my core fan-base would love this song," he adds.

The second song to be released from the album was the beautiful mid-tempo call-out tune, W.I.F.E. "Wife is a song about the love of my life. It truly speaks about everything that my wife means to me. She is my best-friend and the more important, she is the engine that the Ruben Studdard bus runs-on." "I thank God for my wife and I am happy that I was able to find the words and music to describe how much she means to me," shares Ruben.

Right on time for the release of the album, the song, "MASTERPIECE", serves as the official new single. "Masterpiece is a song that I instantly fell in love with in the studio, the lyrics fully describe how special one's significant other is. It's one of those, yes, that's it songs," chuckles Ruben.

Billboard chart-topping singer-songwriter, J. BROWN is officially Billboard Magazine's chart-topping artist as he scores his first-ever number 1 song on this week's Billboard R&B charts with his smash ballad, "My Whole Heart."
