As I sit here thinking just how I want to get started, I can’t help but think of the distinct way God is blessing U.G. Digital Media. We’ve been beyond blessed when it comes to growth in this media industry, and while God and our unbreakable faith are the biggest reason, it also has very much to do with our fanbase, and the amazing individuals we’ve had the opportunity to feature here. Our guest today, the amazing and incomparable Lanett Tachel, is without question a huge part of that success. While her story and journey is absolutely what we like to call a “Blackprint” to success in this business, it’s also very much unique in the sense that none one can do what she does, or has done to get here. Her dreams and aspirations were through the roof; undoubtedly, yet God and her unshakeable faith said that it was all possible, and it certainly was. 

Hailing from Prince Georges County; Maryland, Tachel has worked tirelessly to make a name for herself in this entertainment business, and has done just that. Whether writing, acting, or producing, she has done it all. She’s built a strong resumé of projects like ‘PUMP’, ‘BELLE’S’, “ILLICIT’, and ‘TWISTED DATE’, and produced a long-list of industry giants like Ray J, Vivica Fox, Michael Jai White, Jennifer Freeman, and so many others. 

Tachel is now at the helm of her latest project ‘ANGIE’S CURE’, which is currently topping the charts on TUBI as we speak. As the multi-hyphenate we know her to be, she wrote, produced, and acted in the role of the title character for this project. Starring Essence Atkins (one of my personal favorites), Jennifer Freeman, Denise Boutte, Stormi Maya, Apryl Jones, Duane Finley, Sean Nelson, and Mariah Robinson, this psychological thriller takes you on a roller coaster ride as Angie seizes a rare opportunity to flip the script on her attacker. It’s absolutely a must-see, and is currently streaming for your entertainment. 

Again, it’s such an amazing opportunity to not only feature Lanett Tachel, but to add her to our growing list of extended UGD family! Yes folks, she is HERE for the cookout [laughing]. What really means the most; certainly to us, is that she has done phenomenal work through these projects and done her part in not only elevating the culture; which is so badly damaged right now with some content, but she has done her part in pushing brown and black actors and producer alike. Even if one hasn’t worked directly with her, you can look at her journey, look at her work, and learn ways to elevate your own work and craft. 

It’s so important for us to feature individuals like Lanett Tachel, as we don’t always have the proper examples or people in our lives to offer the right information and encouragement. It does so much for the mind when you can look and see someone who looks just like you who is successful and doing the things you want to do. We’re thrilled she is our current cover story!
